About The Inkformant

Welcome to The Inkformant, and thank you for being here!  As you may have seen from the tabs above (and my author bio), three major elements make up The Inkformant world:

  • PANELS & ME is a comics storytelling project with a community-driven focus.  With the help of young leaders from Portland to Vietnam, we collectively guided more than 150 kids to create their own original comics stories so far.  Learn more about Panels & Me on its own homepage.  The project is in its development stages with pilot initiatives, but our aim is for it to grow into something sustainable in the long run (not sure what that looks like yet, but we invite you to envision the possibilities with us).  Join us on the journey by simply keeping up to date with our blog and Instagram page!  If you would like to support the project, please see the “How You Can Support” section below.

  • Reports are my photo essays and collection of The Inkformant comics (Follow the comics @the.inkformant or the hashtag #theinkformantreport on Instagram).
  • Lifestyle posts are my personal take on everyday tidbits, such as style & beauty, work & study, eat & drink, home & design, and travel & places.

As you can see, The Inkformant is a big world with bits and pieces of everything.  If there’s one thing that ties everything together, it’s stories:  Lifestyle posts are my little stories, Reports are my big stories, and Panels & Me is the story of our community.  Stories, whether they are big or little, profound or simple, long or short, hold the power to make the world a better place.

The Inkformant is more than just doodles.  I can earn a living elsewhere, so any revenue that I generate from The Inkformant will go directly towards Panels & Me, to fund essentials like classroom materials, transportation for volunteers, etc. (full breakdown in the making).  By supporting The Inkformant content, you are also supporting the Panels & Me’s mission to empower youth to tell their own stories.
